The Art of Armor

How we ensure your records survive the journey.

A record's journey to you is its most perilous. It's a flat, fragile object in a world of boxes, bumps, and drops. We treat packing not as a task, but as a discipline. We've shipped thousands of records, and our process is designed to protect against the worst the postal service can throw at it.

1

Preventing the Seam Split

Unless a record is sealed, the first thing we do is remove the vinyl (in its inner sleeve) from the main jacket. This prevents the record from shifting during transit and slicing through the cover's edges—the dreaded seam split.

2

Double Protection

The record and its jacket are then placed together inside a protective poly outer sleeve. This keeps them united and safe from scuffs and moisture.

3

Creating the Rigid Core

The sleeved record is then sandwiched between two oversized, sturdy cardboard stiffeners. This creates a rigid, unbendable core that protects against corner dings and bending.

4

The Fortress Mailer

Finally, the entire assembly is placed inside a professional, crush-resistant record mailer. These mailers are specifically designed with buffer zones to absorb impacts and keep the contents safe, sound, and perfectly flat.
